There are some weddings that you carry with you long after the day is over. Sharon and Harold’s early April celebration at Twelve Pillars was one of those rare, beautiful days where everything just felt right. Despite the rain clouds that lingered above us, the atmosphere was anything but gloomy. It was a day filled with laughter, heartfelt tears, deep love, and a whole lot of dancing.

As a photographer, this is where I thrive; capturing candid laughter, kids twirling under fairy lights, aunties pulling cousins into spontaneous dance battles, and that one friend who always thinks they can moonwalk (sometimes successfully, sometimes… less so).

I took Sharon and Harold up to the top paddock which is a place where the hills roll gently into the distance and the skies feel extra big. The rain was falling lightly, casting a soft silver light across the landscape. And there they were, standing close, laughing together like no one else in the world existed.
That embrace, in the middle of the rain, was pure magic. It captured everything about the day: their love, the beauty of the venue, and the simple joy of being together. Come rain or shine.
